Frequently asked questions

  • Note that the public application period closed on October 30th. If you would like to apply, please click one of the buttons on the site to request an invitation. As space permits, we will reach out via email with the application link. The application will take approximately one hour. If you are selected, you will need to enroll within a week of acceptance and pay the program fee to secure your spot.

  • Innovation and change work can be lonely, isolating, and demanding; cohort learning is more supportive, deeply human and has been proven more effective, less isolating for women and racialized people in particular.

  • This Accelerator is designed to reimagine how capital can be redirected toward social and planetary health and to change capital flows. Our hypothesis is that the categories and boundaries between capital holders will dramatically shift in the coming decades. By combining impact investors and philanthropists, we move beyond conventional silos of today’s wealth holders to create a new collective structure.

  • We’ve used “Hosts” to describe the five of us from Solvable + EROS who have conceived of this Accelerator, who co-design each of the sessions, and who facilitate all the sessions. We have invited individuals whose perspectives and work deeply inspire us to serve as “Guides” to the cohort. The Guides will be joining many of the sessions during the six-month journey.

  • Our goal is to create a transformative experience for you and everyone in the cohort. Six months allows time to step back from yourself and the House of Finance, and step into new ways of thinking, relating, being, and doing.

  • We ask that you only join if you are prepared and have the capacity for the whole journey. Not only is the Accelerator designed to be progressive within content building on itself, it is also designed as a peer learning space where trust and deep relationships will be integral to the quality of the experience and the outcomes. With that being said, we understand that date conflicts arise, and will do our best to accomodate your full participation.

  • Due to limited space and this being an intensive journey, there are no refunds. We will not be able to fill spaces part way through with new participants.

  • The Accelerator will be held virtually on Zoom. We hope to host an in-person gathering after the first Accelerator. Participants will have priority registration.

  • We see this first Accelerator as a prototype. Our hope is not only will there be future Accelerators after this one, but that this becomes a larger platform for the transformation of finance through various types of synchronous and asynchronous knowledge sharing.
